| Today we all got up early, had breakfast, then boarded the coach for Saly First compare and contrast. This is the third motor vehicle I’ve seen in this village since we’ve been here. They use horses and carts for “truck transport.” |
The contrast: Saly is a major city. We went from a handful of cars to Parisian traffic in an hour. Our first stop there was L’Institut Diambars, a private school with an internationally known sports program. Compare it to the public elementary school we visited a few days ago.
Next stop was a grocery store, one of my favorite parts of traveling in a new country.
We arrived at Saly, and I added another “foreign bathroom experience” to my list. 🤮 We had a late lunch on the beach, and enjoyed traditional music while we ate. Some of us (not me, lol) got up and danced, and even played the instruments.
After we checked in, we took the necessary beach walk, then had dinner.
After dinner, I took my first hot shower in three days. Yes, you read that correctly, the first hotel didn’t have hot water. This hotel is much nicer, and much quieter.
So how many comparisons did you making? Don’t forget to put your name on your paper. 😂
