Teranga

 Travel day, yesterday, was uneventful.  I had to check out early, so I got to the airport 7 hours ahead of time.  I couldn’t check in until 12:30, so one of the other ladies

         

Zebus

in the group found me and we had lunch, then slowly collected more people.  We checked in, and met everyone else at the gate.  The flight left 10 minutes late, nbd, and we landed at Dakar 7 1/2 hours later, around 6:30 local time.  I only got an hour of sleep, so I was exhausted most of the day.  I took a few cat naps, but it was still a little rough.  We had breakfast here at the hotel while they got our rooms ready, and then went right to the batik activity.  I don’t have a finished product yet, it takes multiple steps over a few days.  Our hotel has a gorgeous view.  And a lot of cats😂

After lunch, we went to Lycee Yené, a local high school, then a walk on the beach and dinner.
