Day 2- Paris

We landed in Paris around noon (their time), met our guide, Patrick and went through customs and baggage pick up.  Originally, we had time scheduled to go to the hotel, get cleaned up, and then start touring the city.  But with all the delays, it turned out to be five minutes to drop our luggage off and get right back on the coach.  We were slightly smelly and greasy by this point, but when 43 people are the same level of smelly and greasy, nobody notices.

Our first stop was the Louvre:

One of the funniest things we saw were the trinket sellers.  I told the kids, as soon as the police come near, they'll pick up their stuff in backpacks and walk around like students.  Sure enough, we heard sirens and the vendors fled.  They didn't exactly stuff their trinkets in backpacks, they put them in shopping bags and threw them in the bushes.
After the Louvre, we walked around Paris and then went to dinner.

Bœuf Bourginon

After dinner, we navigated the Metro back to the hotel to get checked in and rest.  By the time we resolved issues with the rooms and did bed checks, everyone was already asleep.
