Rome revisited

Today was a tour of Rome.  I've been here before, not much has changed, but I got to see a few things I didn't see the first time.

We toured the forum, which was a new experience for me.
The ruins of the altar where they scattered Caesar's ashes.

Everybody split into groups and did a city quest, kind of a scavenger hunt around Rome.

Piazza Navona

Pantheon
King Emmanuel, the first king of united Italy

Queen Margherita, his wife

Spanish steps
Trevi fountain, unfortunately under construction 😕. They had a small pool to throw water into.

I, the picky eater, ate squid ink pasta.
Tomorrow we leave Rome and head for Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius.
